Good afternoon ALS families,
I hope you are all doing well and finding ways to stay warm after yesterday’s significant snowfall. It certainly feels like spring has been put on pause for a little while longer.
As shared in an email yesterday, the CBE is piloting a new tool to support planning for next year through an enrollment intentions form. If you have not yet had a chance to complete this, we kindly ask you do so as soon as possible. This information is important in helping us ensure a spot for your child at Arbour Lake School and to support thoughtful planning around staffing and resource allocation for the upcoming school year.
A reminder that our next Parent Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 PM. This will be a virtual meeting, and the link along with the agenda will be shared with families on Tuesday morning. We hope you can join us.
We are also looking forward to welcoming our incoming Grade 6 students from Citadel and Hawkwood schools next week. Our visiting Grade 5 students will be joining us for a school tour, providing them with an opportunity to get a sense of the building, the daily routines, and what to expect as they transition into middle school next year.
Additionally, next Thursday afternoon is the pickup time for anyone who ordered flowers or plants through our final Grade 9 Sailing fundraiser. Thank you for your continued support of our students and this important experience.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. As always, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need support.
Warm regards,
Nancy Lisi,
Principal, Arbour Lake School
