Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week has been eventful. Our Grade 7 students went snowboarding and skiing at Winsport, while our Grade 6 students went on a field trip to The Confluence. We are also proud to congratulate our Junior Boys Volleyball team on their impressive win in the B Finals last night – they have had a fantastic season. Tonight, our Senior Boys will play in their finals at Churchill High School at 7:45 PM, and we encourage everyone to come out and cheer them on.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing CUPE strike, CBE has put all athletics on hold. As a result, we will not be starting our Badminton season as scheduled, and our track and field program will also be postponed until the job action is resolved.

Looking ahead, next week is Spirit Week, so please check the announcements for daily themes and activities and on March 20th we will be engaging in school-wide activites around the Spring Equinox.

Please be reminded that our School Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30 PM and will be held virtually, as will all School Council meetings until further notice. Please use the following link to join us: Join the meeting now

Parent-teacher conferences will also be online, with sessions on Thursday, March 20 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 21 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please note that there will be no classes on Friday, March 21, followed by spring break, with classes resuming on March 31.

A friendly reminder: if your child is in Grades 6–8 and will not be returning to Arbour Lake School next year, please let us know as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything at nmlisi@cbe.ab.ca. Have a wonderful weekend!

Warm regards,
Dr. Nancy Lisi
