Good afternoon,
I hope you’ve all had a good week. I want to thank the parents who attended our first School Council meeting of the new school year earlier this week. Your support and insights are important for establishing a strong partnership focused on student success. Thank you for being involved and taking time out of your busy schedules to join us.
We are excited to invite parents to our Fall Orientation Night on September 26 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This year, we’ve made some adjustments to the evening’s schedule. In addition to Orientation Night, we will hold “Meet the Teacher” conferences for grade 6 students on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Please note that while Orientation Night is a drop-in event, the Meet the Teacher conferences require prior booking. Parents of grade 6 students received a link earlier this week to schedule a meeting with their child’s homeroom teacher. This is a valuable opportunity for parents to share important insights about their child as we work together to support them in school. Please remember that these meetings will not include updates on student progress. Additionally, no bookings will take place from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday evening to allow all parents to attend a brief overview of our school and introductions to our staff in the gym. We look forward to seeing you there!
We had planned to take part in our annual Terry Fox Run today, but due to the weather, we have postponed this event to Monday. We are hoping for better weather as we look forward to supporting the cause Terry brought awareness to decades ago and continuing to raise funds for cancer research.
Wishing you a fantastic weekend! If you have any questions or need assistance ,please feel free to reach out via email at nmlisi@cbe.ab.ca.
Best regards,
Dr. Nancy Lisi
