Good afternoon Parents/Guardians,
It’s been a busy week here at school! We’ve had basketball and soccer happening every night this week, along with our CPAWS Grade 7 trip and Grade 9s visiting Ralph Klein Park. The Grade 8s had a fantastic time at Rumble Boxing too. It’s hard to believe we’re already six weeks into the school year, and we’re settling in nicely!
I continue to encourage students, especially in Grades 8 and 9, to apply to be part of ImPACt—our Principal Advisory Council. We truly value their voices and advice as they help lead the school and support the well-being of middle school students. They know best what their peers need and hearing from them is vitally important to support all students.
For parents of students with Individual Personalized Plans (IPPs), teachers should have reached out to you and engaged you in creating these plans. Most of the IPPs should be signed by parents, however if your child’s is still in progress and you’ve not heard from their teacher, please do reach out to them.
As we approach Thanksgiving weekend, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude. I’m thankful for the rewarding work I do, our amazing learning community of students, staff, and supportive parents, and the incredible young people we have here. I’m also grateful for my family and the choices made by my own parents that have provided me with so many opportunities in life. I hope each of you finds moments to reflect on what you’re thankful for and that you have time to connect with those who matter most this Thanksgiving weekend.
Wishing you all the best, and remember, if you ever need anything, feel free to email me at nmlisi@cbe.ab.ca.
Warm regards,
Dr. Nancy Lisi
Principal
